For the longest time the Concrete route marker (ConBar) remained the original 1996 triangular prism with a 256 palatised texture..... Well I eventually got pissed off with is and made these...

While there have been many hands on this level through out the dev cycle of Max damage, my hand has possibly the greatest legacy. Not least because I was tasked with taking the original Carmageddon Track (Coastal C) in all its 9k poly glory and knock the walls down and open it up into what you see here.

So I spent quite a bit of time producing a grey box level that was in all fairness far more polished than it needed to be. While the road layout is pretty much the original, from a top down perspective, (or should that be orthographic?) the elevation changes are all mine as I quickly realised that we need some line-of-sight blockers and so we have the central mountain and the elevated observatory to name but two.

It lost the quarry and the big town on the end where the lighthouse now sits as while the original track was a ribbon track when opened up it simply was too big.
